Resident Evil 5 Announced

Details are sketchy and unconfirmed at the moment, but it seems that Resident Evil 5 has been announced in this week's issue of Famitsu, a Japanese gaming magazine. I'd mirror the images, but it looks like all copies that were Out There have had all their bandwidth consumed. Here's what's been gleaned from those images by assorted people prior to them Going Away:

• It's Resident Evil 5
• It's being produced by Jun Takeuchi (previous projects: Street Fighter 2, Onimusha series)
• Main character seems to be Chris Redfield from RE1 an Code Veronica, but that can't be confirmed
• The over-the-shoulder angle from RE4 seems to be back
• No Nintendo. The article only mentions PS3 and Xbox 360 availability.

An official announcement from Capcom is expected soon. And since Capcom, Sony, Microsoft, and everyone else in the industry except Nintendo are going to be at the Tokyo Game Show in two months, you can probably count on seeing something about RE5 then.
