Jack Thompson is still on the warpath

I didn't properly introduce this guy when I referenced him in my GTA:SA tirade earlier in the week. Jack Thompson is the fearmongering anti-gaming pundit behind the wildly insightful and not in any way biased website StopKill. Thompson was one of the "experts" whose zealotry helped push the ESRB to rebrand GTA:SA. He also has a quite impressive record of being a pro-censorship jackass.
Everyone has been saying that this rebranding of GTA:SA would inevitably result in some serious slippery slope situations, and here they all come.
Hot on the heels of his "victory" over the horrors of fully clothed grinding, he now wants The Sims 2 to be pulled from shelves for the same reason, citing a "cheat" that removes the blur and exposes your sims naughty bits to the world. The problem? There's nothing underneath. You'll find more hardcore nudity on a barbie doll. Thompson doesn't believe that, though, he swears there's something under there and it's insidious and destroying the world.
Oh, and he also wants the ESRB to be dismantled. You know, for good measure.
Every time I read some of Thompson's insane rantings, I can't help but envision him has That Kid who was always around in arcades and gaming stores in the 90's going "OMG OMG IF YOU DO [complex/impossible thing] THEN [female video game character] GETS NAKED!!!!!!!!!". Thompson is the adult version of that kid. Who wants to bet he'd have a heart attack if he saw God of War or the secret model of Mona in Max Payne 2?
Luckily, he's really starting to sound insane, and he might just start sounding insane to people who previously believed anything he spewed forth. The sooner those people realize how much of a kook he is, the sooner things can get back to normal.
