Go Go Microsoft Hype-Machine

Posted by inpheaux on July 25th, 2005 at 11:44 am

Not to be outdone by Sony's "Playstation Meeting" last week, Microsoft has wandered over to Japan to hold their own "Xbox Summit" hype-fest. I've waded through all the stuff available and didn't really find anything incredibly shocking or new, or even interesting, but then again I'm not exactly a rabid Microsoft fanboy. The only things that stood out to me were cross-platform announcements and videos that we all saw last week from Sony.

The only really interesting tidbit I caught was from Team Ninja, the guys behind Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden. Apparently they have five games in development for the 360. DOA4, DOA:XBV2, Project Progressive, Code Chronus, and a fifth "secret project" which ISN'T the already confirmed to be in-development Ninja Gaiden 2. So, does this mean is Ninja Gaiden 2 headed to PS3? More details on this once an official announcement is made.

Anyways, there's a ton of videos and screenshots and such available from the event, including items from Resident Evil 5, Project Gotham Racing 3, Tokyo Extreme, Frame City Killer, and pretty much everything else that's been officially announced so far.

IGN has a rather nice recap page set up for the Xbox Summit, so if you're interested you can head over there and have quick and easy access to all the goods.
