Dungeon Siege II Demo is out, and unbelievably large
Posted by inpheaux on August 3rd, 2005 at 4:16 pmMicrosoft and Gas Powered Games released the Single Player Demo of Dungeon Siege II a few minutes ago. I don't really have anything to say about it right this second because it isn't anywhere near done downloading. See, the demo - and let me remind you, this is a demo - is 1.6 GB installed. The demo itself is larger than the original Dungeon Siege was, and for some reason despite being a downloadable demo, it has a DVD drive listed as a requirement.
What's worse is that if the game hasn't improved much since the beta a few months back, it isn't even going to be a good 1.6 gigs.
Anyways, if you feel up for downloading just over two cds worth of short, potentially disappointing, and probably buggy gameplay, it's available from all the usual suspects: Gamespot, FileShack, FilePlanet, Filecloud and 3D Gamers (BitTorrent Option Available).
We'll let you know how it is on the forums once it finally finishes in 8 days.
