Square-Enix prepares more irrelevant ports

Oh, Squeenix. When will you learn to port things people care about?
Today, during the first day of the Tokyo Game Show, Square Enix announced that they're porting Final Fantasy IV to GBA, to be released by the end of the year. For those of you playing along at home, and who don't yet have a handy "Final Fantasy Region Number Conversion Chart", this is the one that was originally released in the US as Final Fantasy II. But don't confuse it with the Final Fantasy II in the Final Fantasy I & II "Dawn of Souls", that was the real Final Fantasy II.
But . . why? They already ported FFIV to a modern-ish console back in 1999, when they ported to it the Playstation along with Chronotrigger for the poorly named "Final Fantasy Chronicles" collection. I can't answer this question of 'why?' for you, because I really have no idea. They've done this before, though. See, after releasing the V/VI doublepack for the PSX, and then the IV/Chronotrigger doublepack, they went back and released I/II as "Final Fantasy Origins", only to find that no one really wants to play Final Fantasy I or II. So then last year they updated a bunch of stuff in both I and II and re-released it again for GBA. This is supposedly what they'll be doing for this newest release of FFIV. Will anyone care? Probably not.
Now, here's the deal, this means that now we've seen every Final Fantasy game from I-VI at LEAST once [and some we've seen THREE times!] except for Final Fantasy III, which hasn't been released anywhere other than Japan. Ever. Squeenix, why do you hate Final Fantasy III? Is there something you don't want to tell us? Cause if there is, just come right out and say it, we can take it. At the very least, tell us before you finish porting it to the DS, so we can all know if we should look forward to it or ignore it.
