Another Dose of Infinium Comedy

Posted by inpheaux on November 21st, 2005 at 12:24 pm

Hooray! It's time for some more news from Infinium, everyone's favorite vaporware developer, which has been gleefully milking venture capitalists for what seems like aeons now. So, what are they up to this time? Well, it's been a few months since the last shake-up of their "corporate leadership", so clearly, it's time for that to change.

After just over a year at the company, and a few months worth of being both President and CEO, Kevin Bacchus has finally jumped ship. Why he ever joined up in the first place still eludes me, but nonetheless he spent a good deal of time accomplishing . . well . . nothing over there. Stepping up to take his place is one Greg Koler, formerly the head of Infinium's European operations. We are as shocked as the rest of you to learn that Infinium had "European Operations". For the moment, Koler is the President, CEO, CFO and probably a number of other positions, as there can't be more than six or seven people actually working at Infinium anymore.

Is this a sign that the Infinium comedic gravy-train is coming to a screeching halt? Probably not. Infinium is clearly in it for the long haul, even if the long haul takes 80 years and never results in a product launch.

. . . In other news, we're still alive. No, really. And new stuff is coming soon, too. No, we weren't able to have SUPAR AMAZING 24-HOUR XBOX360 CIRCLEJERK COVERAGE, because we aren't special, apparently. But there will be some new stuff coming shortly, things have just been too hectic lately to leave any time to talk about videogames. There are more important things to be doing, like playing Mario Kart DS untill I can't feel my thumbs.
