Posted by inpheaux on March 9th, 2006 at 11:46 pm

iPodMame is so 30 hours ago. Right now, all us cool kids on the internet are enjoying images of the iPodMame Cabinet someone made.
Thanks Scott, for giving us another short-and-to-the-point amusing news item to report on. It's always great to see people go for extra points when it comes to stuff like this. Sure, iPodMame [...]

Posted by inpheaux on March 9th, 2006 at 2:46 pm

I was planning on waiting for our resident LEGO internet celebrity to get a chance to post this, but it's just too cool to wait.
About a year ago, an image surfaced on the internets of Katamari Damacy as expressed in the medium of LEGO bricks. It was good. It's always good to see two already [...]

Posted by inpheaux on March 9th, 2006 at 12:07 am

This is the geekiest thing i have seen in months and I love it. This post over on Instructables [a user-editable pictorial instruction guide for all manner of intersting things] details how to make your very own animated bike-wheel display.

Posted by inpheaux on March 2nd, 2006 at 4:10 pm

It was brought to my attention thismorning that somehow a good number of people still haven't seen last year's epic first-look at Spore. For those of you who have somehow been blissfully unaware of the existence of Spore, let me bring you up to speed. Spore is what Will Wright, Maxis' head nerd, has been [...]

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion ships March 20th

Posted by inpheaux on March 2nd, 2006 at 2:53 pm

I'll admit, I'm slightly confused by this. We've got a ship date, the executive producer says the game is finally done, but we don't have a 'gone gold' announcement. Is Bethesda too cool for the phrase 'Gone Gold'? If they are, that's fine by me, just trying to clarify things here.
In any account, like it [...]

Economic Theory in Action

Posted by inpheaux on March 2nd, 2006 at 11:41 am

In a free market when a product's quantity supplied drops and quantity demanded remains constant price will rise. This is demonstrated in the convenient depection to the right [the red arrow is the Bad Part], but it is also happening right now in Southeast Asia, much to the dismay of gamers. See, today is the [...]
