DS Lite street date sorta-broken

The nice thrifty people from Cheap Ass Gamer are reporting that the street date for the DS Lite has been broken . . . sorta. If you hit your local Target or Wal-Mart stores, there's a nonzero chance you may walk out with a DS Lite 11 days early. Unfortunately, it's more likely that you won't, because street-date enforcement is INCREDIBLY inconsistent at these stores. Personally, I've never had good luck with them breaking street dates down here in Tampa. They didn't do it with We <3 Katamari, didn't do it with Castlevania: DS, didn't do it with Mario Kart DS, and - what a surprise - they aren't doing it with the DS Lite.

Then again, I already have my DS Lite. So what do I care?

If you've got nothing to do over the next week and a half, consider cruising by one of these stores to see if they'll cough it up early. You may have better luck if you know someone at the store or have a significantly high CHA. Or, of course, you can just wait until June 11th like the rest of the country.
