DPad’s belated first birthday

We were so busy getting content ready to post, and doing other important things on the internet that I can't seem to recall at the moment, that we all totally forgot that the site turned 1 back on 06 JUL 2006. Technically the site dates back further, to either its larval stage at games.skizzers.org, or its great predecessor at Jedi-Outcast.com. But as Directional Pad we're just a year old.
What's coming in Year 2? Well, you've already seen some of it with the big review update a few days ago. More news, more reviews, more new people, more more more more more. Also another trip to E3 in 2007, Hard hitting reviews of the Wii and maybe the PS3 too if we can collectively scrape up the cash to buy one of them. We also might be making some significant forum upgrades over the next year, but more details on that when there's time to do it. Finally, we'll be having some official DPad merchandise over the next year, and none of that cheezy CafePress stuff, we're going for quality.
Oh, and about those new people, if you'd like a chance to be one, we've got this form where you can submit a short writing sample and score a chance to write for us. You know you want to. Seriously.
So anyway . . go us! We now return you to your regularly scheduled DPad Year 2, already in progress.
