September 25th, 2007 (EU/Worldwide release will follow on the 26th)
Start planning your excuses to skip class, work, and any other obligations you may have for the rest of that week. It's a Tuesday, so you'll need to plan quite a few of them.
Bungie's tagline for this announcement is "Finish the game", which is funny, as the main complaint about Halo 2 was "It just abruptly ends like that!?? What the hell, Bungie?" Apparently they promise we'll be getting a real ending this time.
Maybe.
