Assassin’s Creed: Worldwide Release this November

Posted by inpheaux on June 8th, 2007 at 1:40 pm

We had heard previously that after several delays, Ubisoft's latest third person epic Assassin's Creed would be finally dropping some time this fall. Today they narrowed the window significantly.

November 2007.

Not sure what day in November, but some time in there. And it'll be a "worldwide release" (which probably just means North America/Europe) and it'll be on all three expected platforms, PC / 360 / PS3.

If for some reason you're still not sufficiently hyped about Assassin's Creed, I suggest watching this trailer from the "UbiDays" press event they held last month. It should set you straight.

With this announcement, we've now got at least one super mega huge release per month from now until December. Just look:
July - Quake Wars
August - Metroid Prime 3 and Bioshock (Same week, even)
September - Mass Effect and Halo 3
October - Grand Theft Auto 4
November - Assassin's Creed

And that doesn't even count the ones that don't have dates yet: Smash Bros. Brawl, Guitar Hero III, Rock Band, and Half-Life 2 Episode 2 & Friends. It's a very good time to be a gamer, no matter what platforms you have at your disposal.
