New Starcraft 2 video out
Posted by inpheaux on June 13th, 2007 at 6:59 pmApparently Blizzard gave PC Gamer a new exclusive video of SC2, and it - as is required by law - has found its way onto YouTube. It shows off a couple new Protoss things we hadn't seen previously.
Here's an overview of the new Protoss units and buildings it shows off:
Soul Hunter - Seems to be a generic ground unit with a ranged beam attack. In practice, a group of them resembles how you'd generally see a pack of hydralisks work. They all line up, and start spitting green stuff at the target.
Phase Cannon - Redeployable photon cannons. Did those new jumpy Terran units find their way around the back of your base? Fine. Phase-out your cannons from the front, and move them to the back.
Tempest - Carriers. But now they're blue.
Twilight Archons - I have no idea. They seem to just be archons.
Oh, and during the bit with the Twilight Archons, you can see a Reaver in the background.
Alright Blizzard, we get it, you love Protoss. Now show something else.
