Hellgate: London preorder bonuses (and Beta!)

Finally, a valid reason to preorder stuff. If you preorder Hellgate: London over the course of the next month (from Best Buy, Wal-Mart or Gamestop/EB), you'll get a couple of bonuses instantly. First, and most importantly, you get access to the beta, which will run from 17 SEP 2007 to 7 OCT 2007. Characters created during the beta won't carry over to the final game, but that's not a big surprise.

Additionally, by preordering you'll get a special "dye" item that will let you color your armor. Colors vary depending on where you're preordering from.

Finally, by preordering you've got the option to upgrade with the "Founder's Offer" until 30 NOV 2007. Basically, this "Founder's" thing is a "lifetime" subscription to the paid Multiplayer, with a one-time cost of $150 rather than $10/mo. So if you think you'll be running a Guild in Hellgate for more than 15 months, it isn't that bad of a deal. Note that this is $150 on top of the costs of the game itself ($50 or $60, depending on what version) and any future expansions you may purchase.

Hellgate: London is still on-track for release on 30 OCT 2007.
